August Roundup

August has typically through my life been the best month of the year for me. My birthday falls at the start of the month, and the celebrations stretch across the month, I am a Leo after all!

So to celebrate my favourite month, here are some of the things that lit it up, made me laugh, or simply happened to me!

1st Place Trophy

If you happen to be in Hastings Old Town, I urge you to go and see Twigg - one of the nicest shops I have been in this year. I’m not having the best year, but I am truly trying my best, hence I awarded myself 1st place at trying my hardest, a worthy winner, I’m sure you’ll agree.

New Glasses

I love glasses, I am thrilled I get to put frames on my face. These are my latest, that were expertly reglazed by the experts over at Peep Eyewear. Their service is second to none, and always handle my bizarre requests like it’s perfectly normal. 10/10 recommend. The green ones are Prada SS14, and the golden pair are Gucci SS22.

Like every other millennial, I have started to collect vinyl. I am thrilled. Music means so much

Vox @nonbinaryartist handmade and sent these Uno reverse earrings to me. How could I not be obsessed?

Fortnum's Rose Pouchong Sparkling Tea

My beloved friends Sophie and Lawrence sent my fiancé and I this bottle of Fortnum's Rose Pouchong Sparkling Tea for our engagement, and we finally cracked it open for my birthday. As a sober human, this is the fanciest drink I have ever consumed, and it was heaven!

Tomatoes!

My neighbour is who I want to be when I grow up. She rescues hedgehogs, drives an ambulance, and gardens! She grew these tomatoes, and they might be the best tomatoes I have ever eaten.

Frog Shoes

I have lusted over the JW Anderson x Wellipets Frog Loafers since they first debuted in Milan. Now they’re on my feet, and they do not disappoint. Ludicrously expensive, but they were a birthday gift, I am so very aware how lucky I am.

Scrolling on Vinted late night, and I stumbled across this icon. Maybe this typewriter is exactly what I need to help me with my next book?

Historically I HATE surprises, but this year I decided to let go of the reins for my birthday, and my sister blew me out of the water with this George at Asda bedding.

ADHD Tax - Toll Charges

If you have ADHD, you will be familiar with ADHD tax. I forgot to pay not one, but two tolls in the same day! Thrilled doesn’t cut it, but here we are, took toll roads to save time, forgot to pay, ended up with fines!
