Scaredy Cat

What are you afraid to admit?
Surely you have something at the back of your mind?
The things that scare you to say out loud?

As I age, I am more and more aware that hiding from things never make them easier. In fact, some things can even get worse. I am not the first to say this, but, I think things seem better, more manageable, and less terrifying when they are out in the open.
In a bid to help you, but also to help myself, here are some of the things that I am afraid to admit!

I am a professional writer, and I have no idea when to use a colon or a semi-colon.
I am petrified of doing my accounts, and I put it off, to the point that I think my accountant hates me. Please confirm or deny Jason.
I am afraid of looking forward to events, in case they don’t live up to my expectations, and I end up being disappointed.

I am terrifyingly obsessed with 9/11. I have the search terms that can provide videos about it blocked on TikTok, because I have lost days to watching 9/11 content before.
I am very afraid to admit that I think there is a lot of erasure of non-binary people within the trans community perpetuated by trans people, and I really want to do something about it.
I’m so scared I’ll never publish another book.
So maybe we all need to stop being scaredy cats, and get some things off our chests?
