My beloved first child turns three this month.
The Book of Non-Binary Joy, an idea conceived in Covid, and executed in one of the toughest years of my life, has gone on to have an incredible legacy.
I wanted to share some moments of joy this book has brought me over the past three years because it is something that is so worth celebrating.
Leicester Square Billboard
Straight out of the gates, TBONBJ was picked by Amazon editors as a top pick for pride. It was featured on a billboard in Leicester Square. To see my book, on such a huge billboard was truly a pinch-me moment. I got to see it, and by chance ran into Max Seigel who captured it all for me!

Being picked as a top self-help book by Forbes
When we think of media brands to trust, my head immediately thinks of Forbes. So when they picked TBONBJ as one of their top self-help books, it was a big deal. I really poured my heart, soul, experience, and dedication to the Trans and Non-Binary community into this book, so to see it receive its flowers is all I could ever want for it!
The places I get to go
The book has meant that I have been able to spread trans-non-binary awareness around the world. The places that I get to speak are directly linked to the book, and trust me it is not something that I take for granted. Last year I spoke at the Cheltenham Literature Festival, which was a huge milestone for me, and I owe it all to TBONBJ!

Your Reviews
The book is nothing without readers, and so your reviews have been so wonderful to read. Here is one of my favourites;
Finding joy in who I am, not despite it, is really important. When other people just want to stamp you out, when dysphoria hits, when you feel alone, you have to find something beyond the pain. This book, from the opening sentence to the very end, is that something. IT does exactly what it says on the cover–here are various writers, acknowledging the pain, but celebrating the joy of being themselves. I don’t want to pick any out as better or worse–they all have relevance, and will all resonate differently at different moments, but even when tears came reading this, they weren’t sad or angry or defeated. They were tears of acceptance, of love, of feeling seen and understood.
Going into bookshops and being told it sells out
I love going to bookshops and seeing my books (it never gets old). When I get told that my books sell out consistently, it makes my heart soar. Thank you to every single person (thousands of you) who has bought this little pink book, it means the world to me.
Here's to the legacy of The Book of Non-Binary Joy! I wonder who will be reading it in another three years...
