Darling welcome back to my blog, today I want to talk to you about one of the most glorious days I have had in a while. On Tuesday the 26th of June I GRADUATED.
I am so proud of myself, graduating with a First Class Honors Degree in Fashion Promotion and Imaging. If you told me three years ago that this was my future - I WOULDN’T have believed you. Heading to open days after being out of education for three years, I didn’t even think I would get a place on a course, let alone achieve what I have.
I have never worked so hard as I have during my degree, I am beyond proud of myself, but I know that I do deserve this. I also want to thank all the tutors, support staff and facilities at UCA who have facilitated my success.
At this juncture I want to thank my family for all their support, both mentally and financially- you are my rock and I love you unconditionally. I spent the day with my Mum, Sister and Grandpa and we had such a lovely day. We were blessed by some of the hottest weather and thus spent our day finding Aircon. I graduated in Gucci loafers but the heat and my feet problems meant that I changed into trainers to keep me comfy, so that explains the changed footwear.
We had dinner after the ceremony at the Skylon Grill which was STUNNING. We then spent a little time on the Southbank basking in the sun, before we headed over the river. We went to the SkyGarden, I wanted to show my Grandpa how London has developed. It was so special to show him what I love and for him to tell me his memories of London.
I will treasure the memories of this day for so long. The whole day I wanted to pinch myself IT DID NOT FEEL REAL. This was one of the most surreal and wonderful experiences I have had for such a long time. I don’t want to ramble about this if you want to read more about my experience at University read this post. However, I want to celebrate my success and document my memories and this is my moment.
